Big Aspirations

As many of the people that know me well already know, I have big school and career plans.

I would like to go to Yale and Yale Med School and go on to be a Pediatrician at Vanderbilt Children's Hospital.

I have wanted to be a doctor for some time now.  But I have a problem:

Many people I've told my plans to have said, "Yale?  Really?  You do realize that you live in Greeneville, TN, right?

This can be crushing to dreams, if you don't know.  But I try to stay strong because I know I can make it.

I also have another problem:

I am a little broke.

Considering Yale will cost me about $70,00 per year just going through college is a bit of a dilemma.

So I have come to this conclusion:

I would like to get into Yale, but I may not end up going there.  I will go to a different college, that of which I can get a full scholarship to.

Many have asked this: "So, if you're wanting to go to Yale, what would you're second choice be?  Harvard?  Stanford?  Princeton?"

And I reply, "No, my second choice would be the University of Tennessee Knoxville."

UT has been a bit of a home to me in my growing up process.  If I did not go to Yale, I would definitely want to UT.

But which ever college I go to, I want to end up helping children as a Pediatric Doctor, working at Vanderbilt Children's Hospital, living in Nashville or Williamson County.

I may have big aspirations, but I know I can make it.

Snow Dayz

Today and tomorrow, we are out of school, which has been such a blessing because it has given me time to work on my Cinderella narrations and catch up on my school work.  But, there is more in Greeneville, TN's forecast: blizzards.

Look out Dairy Queen because apparently you've got new competition: the weather!

But this is a bad weekend to have a blizzard, since it's the weekend of Cinderella, so we are praying that the snow doesn't get so bad it keeps the audience smaller than it should be.

I am hoping that the blizzard holds off until after Sunday so everyone has a chance to see the show and then has a glorious week of snow days.

Besides, it's about time East Tennessee has a blizzard.  It's been a little while.

Snowpocolipse 2016! :)

So please continue to pray for the show and for a great week of rest with snow days for the dancers next week.

Because the Lord provides...

He always does. :)

Cinderella

As you probably already know, I dance with a company called Central Ballet School & Theater (CBT).  Every year, CBT puts on a ballet in mid-January.  This year we are doing Cinderella!

My parts in this ballet are a Villager, the Blue Bird, and the Narrator...

Villager

After Cindy's father marries the Evil Step-Mother, the Villager's come dance and meet the new bride.

Blue Bird

The Blue Bird is the best friend of Cinderella.  The Blue Bird has some pretty cool scenes, and when you come see the ballet, she will have a surprise for you!

Narrator

And, yes, I am the narrator of the whole ballet.  I am anticipating that this will be very fun and I cannot wait for the ballet itself!

Make sure to come see the ballet, because you will love it!

What Does Emma Mean?

It's actually very scary that this is pretty accurate! :P
  • The name of Emma creates a restless, creative nature that takes you into many ventures, but does not allow you to see things through to a satisfactory completion.

  • Yours is a versatile, musical, artistic, but independent nature and you must have the freedom to express your creative ideas and abilities to be happy.

  • An urge for independence causes dissatisfaction and frustration in close relationships and you find the "ties that bind" restricting.

  • The qualities of this name would find a more constructive outlet in work that involves high-pressure selling or promotional activities, possibly in community affairs, for it contains a positive, driving power.

  • It is difficult for you to merge with others; although you have quickness of mind, you lack tolerance and can give way to impatience at another's slowness or shortcomings.

  • If you cannot complete your plans when you wish to do so, you could suffer intense moods of depression and extreme sensitivity in the region of the solar plexus, resulting possibly in ulcers or nervous disorders.

  • This name could take you into bitter experiences through impulsive action.

  • You need more stability to find peace of mind, relaxation and happiness in life.
  • Although the name Emma creates the urge to be reliable and responsible, we emphasize that it causes a restless intensity that defies relaxation.

  • This name, when combined with the last name, can frustrate happiness, contentment, and success, as well as cause health weaknesses in the solar plexus, and through worry and mental tension.

Merry Christmas New Years?! :)

This is a continuation of the blog Emma's Blog.  Unfortunately, there were major technical difficulties, so a new blog was created.  If you wish to see previous blog posts, go to princessdoodlebugemma.blogspot.com .

Today is New Years Day.  So yesterday, we had our Sapp Family Christmas (my Mom's family).  I got many fun things, some include a FitBit, a new notepad, Under Armour "stuff", new ballet leg warmers and trash bag shorts (yes, yes I did say TRASH BAG shorts), new Apples to Apples game, etc.

I also got a bit of cash for Christmas, so I was able to purchase a few things:
Looking For Alaska by John Green
Happily Ever After by Keira Cass
  and a Canon Powershot SX20 IS 12.1MP Digital Camera - Black :)

Now I have been wanting to get into photography for quite a while now, so I am very excited about this new camera, which I found on EBay for $94.00, which, by the way, is a very good deal!

I am also very excited because the camera will be hear by January 8th, so I will have it in time for the ballet.  So you can bet that I will be taking pictures there, and then uploading them here.

I hope everyone had a great Christmas/New Year Season!

Thanks!
